in my day job i’m a translator (german and dutch into english) but from sunday august 7th to saturday september 10th 2022 in the sky lounge at city screen, york, i exhibited a range of black and white photos i took of musicians in the 1980s. these were previously unknown photos on stage and off of musicians such as the cure, echo and the bunnymen, the cramps and others. pictures are now available to order in limited editions, framed and unframed. email alison[at]ahoneill.net for details.

inspired by a creative friend, i got the bug to show some of my old music photos, and luckily for me city screen york was up for holding an exhibition.

the exhibition, trapped in the light, covered the black & white shots i took in the 1980s, and some determined editing was required to fit the available space. so this website features some of the pics that were on display at city screen from sunday 7th august to saturday 10th september 2022, plus some of those that i couldn’t include there for reasons of space.

limited edition prints (framed or unframed) of all the photographs are available to order and can be posted. sizes range from 30×20 cm – 60×40 cm. drop me a line if you are interested.
